Educational Programs (Youth Programs, Counselling Sessions)

Without knowledge, one cannot truly appreciate Allah's gift of Islam. If our knowledge is minimal, we run the risk of constantly losing this magnificent gift unless we stand strong in our fight against unawareness. The first word revealed in the Qur'ān is "Iqra" — Read! Seek knowledge! Educate yourselves.

So in order to preserve the future of Islam, the effort must start with the youth. The goal of Iqra Academy is to produce religiously conscious Muslims by providing the youth of our community with a healthy education. Different youth programmes run at Iqra Academy at different times, where students not only learn the correct recitation of the Qur'ān with proper tajwīd but also learn the essentials of Islam — giving them a firm foundation in faith.

Alongside this, different counselling sessions are also held at various times for different people. Counselling programmes have a positive impact on several groups in society. It includes:

Open Qur’an placed on a wooden rehal in a peaceful study space

Student counselling (preparing students for academic, career and social challenges)

Parent/guardian counselling (child-related problems)

Religious advice & counselling

Reverted Muslims counselling

Marriage counselling (recognise and resolve conflicts and improve relationships through religious and spiritual marriage counselling)

And many more

Supporting Hearts Through Islamic Guidance

Our Islamic counselling is based on true Islamic teachings. We conduct one-on-one sessions; therapy is offered in a wide variety of settings — personal meetings, letters, telephone conversations and emails. Counselling is done in a private manner and all information is treated with confidentiality. Our counsellors provide a safe place for people to talk about their concerns. People are guided to take help from the Qur'ān and Sunnah, and are motivated to perform ṣalāh, duʿā and istikhārah.

May Almighty Allah accept this effort from us, and may Allah grant us peace and success in this world and the Hereafter. Āmīn.
